OMG!!!!

My father, who is the son of my grand father that left the truck to my family, pops out of the big blue wonder and told my boyfriend and I that he had bought a brand NEW tailgate, front plate, weather seals, and new tail light lenses way back in the winter of '95. So that have saved us a whole lot of time and money. We also have found a truck bed that has little to no rust that would be perfect for this truck... the best part is... its already ours.

Does this truck look like it’s been to hell and back? Well, almost. This piece of American History has been left to gather dust of the past 20 years. My grandfather bought it new. My father who will be 60 this December remembers being a kid and riding with his brother in the back of this truck going visit family in Tennessee. While also this truck has been to Texas and back (we live in south central Kentucky).
We plan on restoring it back to its factory condition or even better. But we have a long way to go.

To start off…

If you have notice by the pictures above there is some slight rust….hahaha okay there is a lot of surface rust and some minimal rust spots of the rear fenders, that have been removed. We plan on refurbishing the stock fenders and remounting them…AFTER we refurbish the entire bed as well. All parts will try to be saved for we are going for a complete or almost original restore on this beast!!!

We will make slow progress but the whole front clip will be removed for repair followed by paint prep. The factory engine will be cleaned up and reused. The entire frame will be undercoated to prevent rust in the future. Green under glow will also become a part of this truck. The truck will all be painted to an emerald green with a deep gloss finish.
The interior will be black with green accent lighting. A new 60-40 seat will be installed (Black leather). New floor mat and a kickin’ new stereo will be installed in the classic. Basically the truck will look almost bone stock until the sun goes down. That is when you need to look out for this mean machine!!! New chrome Smoothie wheels also to be installed on the 67 for a classic but mean look. Overall theme of the restoration will be chrome, green, and black. There is a more different approach just for the keys for this truck. They will be the color of the truck!!!!!!
